# Deploy Manager settings

Deploy Manager exposes approved deployment templates to the active environment. Its application settings include the AWS values required by the configured templates, such as security group, subnet, default AMI, default instance type, and key name where applicable.

Only enter identifiers verified for the selected account and region. A valid identifier in another environment can still deploy into the wrong network or fail at launch.

Before enabling operator access:

1. Confirm the environment credential can perform the required deployment actions.
2. Validate network and security-group behavior.
3. Test each template and its defaults.
4. Confirm how deployed stacks should be stopped and deleted after a production.
